DAVID TENNANT IN "THE HOBBIT" AS THE ELVEN KING? LENA HEADEY AS VILLAIN IN "JUDGE DREDD". FIRST TRAILER AND AMAZING PICS FROM NEW EPIC SHOW "CAMELOT"

Beside Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood who have been officially confirmed for THE HOBBIT alongside Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis (Orlando Bloom hasn't been officially confirmed yet), the epic adaptation will get another new cast addition - David Tennant (DR. WHO)  will play Elf King Thranduil who is also the father of Legolas. If you remember, David was previously offered the role of Bilbo Baggins himself, but it was later on given to Martin Freeman.

Pretty Lena Headey (SARA CONNOR CHRONICLES, Spartan Queen Gorgo from 300) has joined the remake of JUDGE DREDD as Madeline Madrigal, a.k.a. Ma-Ma according to "MovieWeb".  As you know, HOLLYWOOD

SPY's favourite actor Karl Urban is playing the lead role which was previously played by Silvester Stallone, while Lena will play the main villain, a dangerous and naughty gang leader with a scar on her cheek. The sf film about a judge who sentences criminals as soon as he catches them should premiere sometime in 2012.

SHORT HEADLINES Steven Spielberg's prehistoric show TERRA NOVA will premiere on May 23rd on Fox. Tom Hardy has been seen with a bald head and a beard sparking rumors that he might play Dr. Hugo Strange, the main villain in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. The first trailer for CAPTAIN AMERICA :THE FIRST AVENGER with Chris Evans has been delayed because it apparently wasn't amazing enough.

Few weeks ago HOLLYWOOD SPY has shown you a behind the scenes clip of Starz' ambitious new epic show CAMELOT which will premiere

April 1st, and I have the first trailer and some great new pictures for you. Starring Joseph Fiennes as a more battle loving Merlin, Eva Green as evil Morgana, Jamie Campbel Bower as young Arthur, Tamsin Egerton as Guienevere and Claire Forliani as Arthur's mother Queen Igraine, the show will bring an exciting, dynamic and sexy new take on the famous tale about Arthur and Merlin. The romantic adventure will present a historically authentic retelling of the classic King Arthur legend. When King Uther is poisoned by his own daughter, his legitimate but publicly unknown son, Arthur, must succeed the king and return greatness to the Castle Camelot.

SALMA HAYEK AND A "WICKED" WITCH OF THE WEST. NEW PICTURES FROM FANTASY HORROR "RED RIDING HOOD". VANESSA MINNILLO AND NICK LACHEY TO STAR IN "HAWAII FIVE O"

According to "Variety" ABC will work with Salma Hayek on bringing WICKED to TV. The eight part miniseries will be based on WICKED: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST, a book by Gregory Maguire,

which retells the story from THE WIZARD OF OZ presenting the witch as a hero fighting for her homeland. The book was later on made into a successful Broadway musical. Salma Hayek will be the executive producer and we still don't know whether she will star in it too.

SHORT HEADLINES Colin Farrell has officially got the lead role in the remake of TOTAL RECALL. Stan Lee will have a cameo in the new SPIDER-MAN. The first trailer for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS should be released in a month or so. JURASSIC PARK 4 will not happen -the rumors have been officially denied.  Elijah Wood has been added to the cast of THE HOBBIT as Frodo.

Here's some news and some eye-candy for you: one of the cutest celebrity couples actress Vanessa Minnillo and singer Nick Lachey will play together in Alex O'Loughlin's popular police show HAWAII FIVE O, where they will be engaged just like in reality. Minnillo will apparently play a woman who is engaged to Lachey's character and who works as a deckhand on a cruise boat that is taken hostage by pirates.

Some new pictures from the upcoming fantasy horror RED RIDING HOOD have been released yesterday. Starring Amanda Seyfried, Virginia Madsen, Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas, Julie Christie, and directed by TWILIGHT's Catherine Hardwicke, the film will follow a beautiful young girl who decides

to run away from her village with a boy she loves because her parents want her to marry someone else. But there's a little problem: a werewolf prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. The people of the village have to seek help from a famed werewolf hunter, and he warns them that the wolf, who takes

human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, the girl begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. You check the amazing trailer for RED RIDING HOOD here.

DAVID AND "GOLIATH" IN A NEW EPIC. "WONDER WOMAN" TV SHOW ISN'T HAPPENING! NAOMI HARRIS TO JOIN SF EPIC "THE DARK TOWER"? ADORABLE POSTERS FOR "RIO"!

Ah, terrible news people! We won't be seeing a WONDER WOMAN TV show, after all. Although David E. Kelley tried to sell the possible show to all major TV networks they have all rejected it according to "MovieWeb". Fox didn't find it suitable for its programme,

ABC rejected it because they are already planning HULK TV show, while CW thought it was too expensive for them. NBC and CBS both also passed on the project :( So, no WONDER WOMAN for us, at least for now.

While Javier Bardem and Viggo Mortensen are fighting for the lead role in Ron Howard's huge adaptation of Stephen King's sf epic THE DARK TOWER, we have the first candidate for the female lead as well: Naomie Harris, the hilarious Tia Dalma from PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, might play Susannah Dean, a wheelchair-bound amputee who suffers

from multiple-personality disorder and becomes a member of Roland Deschain's group known as the Ka-tet.

It seems that myths, epics and fairy tales are finally coming back to Hollywood, and Relativity Media is entering that arena with their take on GOLIATH. They have hired Scott Derrickson (THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE) to make a 300 style adaptation of the famous Bible story which follows a young Shepard named David who is set on an epic chase to save his own life and the lives of his people when the fierce warrior Goliath begins tracking down a foretold king of the Israelites. David and Goliath will battle in the climax as foretold by the original tale.

ADORABLE ROMANTIC COMEDY "FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS" WITH JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND MILA KUNIS

Ah, here's my own most anticipated romantic film of the year FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS starring the irresistible couple Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The trailer for this superb romantic comedy must be the sexiest and at the same time the most hilarious trailer I've seen in a long time. Justin, who is proving his stunning talent with every new film he makes, is absolutely flawless in it showing an astounding comical talent and charm, while gorgeous Mila Kunis is sexier and wittier than ever and definitely deserves some bigger roles in Hollywood.

Directed by Will Gluck (EASY A, FIRED UP) and premiering July 22nd, the film also stars Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Richard Jenkins,

Jenna Elfman, Patricia Clarkson, Bryan Greenberg and Andy Samberg. The film follows a female headhunter (Mila Kunis), coming out of disastrous relationships, and her newest client turned best friend (Justin Timberlake) who make a "friends with benefits" pact vowing to stop the casual sex if either become emotionally attached. While the set-up works at first, soon the two friends fall in love and must reevaluate what they mean to each other.As you can see from the trailer, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS has a lot of steamy scenes in which they are both naked, so here's what Mila said about shooting those scenes: We had two weeks worth of sex scenes to shoot. Justin would just

wear a sock that covered his frontal parts, so yeah, I could pretty much see everything. And I had tiny nipple pasties and a little pasty on my hoohah.We couldn’t have been more uncomfortable in the beginning, but by the fourteenth day, we’d just drop our robes, like, "Hey, how’s it goin?" Imagine having a job in which you would work with nude Mila or nude Justin :)

Both Mila and Justin had a successful 2010, she had a great performance in BLACK SWAN while he shined in THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Justin also has two other films coming out this year: sf action NOW (previously titled I'M.MORTAL) with Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde and Alex Pettyfer,  and crazy comedy BAD TEACHER with Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz.

EDGAR RAMIREZ, TOBY KEBBELL, BILL NIGHY & HAYLEY ATWELL TO JOIN SAM WORTHINGTON, LIAM NEESON, RALPH FIENNES AND GEMMA ARTERTON IN GREEK EPIC "WRATH OF THE TITANS"

Now I know most of you didn't like CLASH OF THE TITANS, but it did earn hundreds of millions of dollars around the world and the sequel is coming whether you want it or not :P As you know it will be titled WRATH OF THE TITANS and according to "Deadline" they already have the first addition to the main cast - dashing Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez (CARLOS) could be Ares. He will join Sam Worthington, who will play the brave Perseus again,  Liam Neeson,  who will reprise his role of  Zeus, the king of all the gods and the heavens, Ralph Fiennes as the evil Hades and possibly Gemma Arterton as the magical Io again. But he is not the only name

rumored to appear in the film.  There are news that young and charming Toby Kebbell (CHERI, PRINCE OF PERSIA SANDS OF TIME, ALEXANDER, ROCKN'ROLLA)  might appear as Agenor, a Phoenician king of Tyre, while veteran Bill Nighy might play Hephaestus, the Greek god of technology, artisans and blacksmiths. What's more, busty English actress Hayley Atwell, whom we have seen in THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH and who will also star in the upcoming CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, could get the role of princess Andromeda. She was Perseus' love in the original myth, and was played by Alexa

Davalos in the CLASH OF THE TITANS, but her role was pretty much pointless in it. One of the actresses whom Hayley will have to fight for the role is talented Clemence Poesy from HARRY POTTER who is also on the list of the possible candidates. 
The film will come out in 2012 directed by Jonathan Liebesman (BATTLE LOS ANGELES, DARKNESS FALLS) who is replacing Louis Leterrier, the director of CLASH OF THE TITANS (and THE INCREDIBLE HULK) who didn't really satisfy the audience with the first part of the ancient Greek saga.

Ah, I guess my girls will like this one: Robert Pattinson will star in COSMOPOLIS, David Cronenberg's futuristic thriller about a financial whiz who risks his immense fortune by betting against the yen on

one particularly chaotic day. His decisions eventually make him the target of an assassination in this intense study of futuristic capitalism. Pattinson could be joined by Marion Cottilard and Paul Giamatti in the film.

According to the latest news one of my favourite directors Stephen Sommers (THE MUMMY, VAN HELSING), won't after all take the helm of G.I.JOE 2. The film is going to happen, but not with him as the director. Two other, unknown successful movie makers have already been approached with the offer. The film, which earned hundreds of millions of dollars around the world, will get its sequel in 2012.

Here are the first pictures from Steven Spielberg's new TV show TERRA NOVA starring Jason O'Mara.  This exciting  epic family adventure will be set 85 million years in the past and will premiere sometime later this year on Fox.  The action-adventure series follows an ordinary family on an extraordinary journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a part of a massive expedition to save the human race.

ANGELINA JOLIE'S "CLEOPATRA" FINDS A NEW DIRECTOR? FIRST PICTURE FROM ROLAND EMMERICH'S MEDIEVAL MYSTERY "ANONYMOUS". GEMMA ARTERTON & JEREMY RENNER ARE "HANS AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS"

Although we thought that Angelina Jolie won't become CLEOPATRA in the lavish new epic when James Cameron decided to do some other projects, it seems the film might get a new director. The word has it

that some high profile director is close to sign the contract in this Sony Pictures 3D movie based on CLEOPATRA : A LIFE, a book by Stacy Schiff. Differently from previous versions, this film will not show the Egyptian queen as a sexy seductress but as a politician, strategist and a warrior. Hope Brad Pitt won't become another Richard Burton in this one.

Here's the exclusive first picture from ANONYMOUS, Roland Emmerich's (INDEPENDENCE DAY, 2012) historical mystery, with Rhys Ifans, Vanessa Redgrave and David Thewlis. According to "MovieWeb" lovely Gemma Arterton (CLASH OF THE TITANS, PRINCE OF PERSIA) has officially signed on as Gretel in HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, starring alongside Jeremy Renner. The film which starts shooting this March in Berlin will continue the story years after the original fairy tale, with the brother and sister becoming bounty hunters to cope with their tragic past. Do they have to butcher every fairy tale over in Hollywood?
