AARON JOHNSON & JUDE LAW IN "ANNA KARENINA"? BRENDAN FRASER, CHRISTINA HENDRICKS & MATT DILLON IN "SECONDS OF PLEASURE"! SALMA HAYEK AS A DRUG CARTEL MATRIARCH IN OLIVER STONE'S "SAVAGES"

Now, here's an interesting cast: Brendan Fraser and Christina Hendricks will join a bit forgotten actors - Julia Stiles, Matt Dillon, Ed Harris and Kristen Scott Thomas  in the new drama SECONDS OF PLEASURE a story that takes place on an airplane and connects the lives of people on the plane through vignettes. The film will be directed by Mike Figgis (LEAVING LAS VEGAS) from a script from Neil LaBute (THE WICKER MAN, THE SHAPE OF THINGS). The film will be shot in United Kingdom to be released in 2012.

Young Brit Aaron Johnson, who played an amateur super hero in KICKASS, is negotiating to take the role in the new film adaptation of Tolstoy's ANNA KARENINA. But don't get your hopes up, it probably won't have any depth having in mind that the famous Russian tragic character will be played by Keira Knightley. The film will be directed by Joe Wright who already worked with her in ATONEMENT, the film in which she was actually the weakest link.  It's interesting that Jude Law is also rumored to appear in the film, possibly as Vronsky, but it's still not clear which characters will Aaron and he play.

Speaking of Aaron Johnson, he is also circling around SAVAGES, a new film by Oliver Stone in which he and Taylor Kitsch could play  two young pot growers who run their business out of their Laguna Beach home. But jealous of the quality of their weed, a Mexican drug cartel kidnaps their best friend and forces the duo to work for the cartel.The best part is that Salma Hayek could play the matriarch of the cartel :) Olivia Wilde could play their kidnapped friend.

Universal is preparing DESPERADOS, a comedy which will have lovely Isla Fisher (CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC, and you can hear her in RANGO currently)  as the lead star.  The film, which is supposed to be a female HANGOVER, will revolve around a woman who sends an indignant email to her new boyfriend, who has gone silent after they had sex, only to discover he's comatose in a Mexican hospital. Panicking, she races south of the border with her friends in tow to intercept the email before he recovers.

directed by Kenneth Branagh. *Christina Applegate is preparing a new sitcom with NBC. She will play a working mother who has to deal with her stay-at-home husband and parents, in this new untitled comedy show. *Tommy Lee Jones will probably join Meryl Streep and Steve Carell in GREAT HOPE SPRINGS, a film about a couple which has problems after 30 years of marriage so they decide to put their future in the hands of a marriage counselor for one weekend. *Shia LaBeouf will star in HORNS, in which the crazy plot revolves around a guy who wakes up after a night of hard drinking and discovers there are horns growing out of his head.

Ah, this is seriously awful, NBC has released the first picture (click on it to see it bigger) of Adrienne Palicki as WONDER WOMAN in their upcoming new pilot which will also star Elizabeth Hurley as her enemy and Cary Elwes as her boss. I'm not sure what's worse, the hair which looks shockingly fake or the extremely cheep and plastic looking costume. I seriously hope they are just making a joke with us with this picture! The reactions around the Net are really really bad, and everybody swears they thought this was a picture of some anonymous girl dressed as Wonder Woman for a party.  Produced by David E. Kelley, the show will revolve around Diana Prince who is a corporate executive by day, but turns into a powerful super hero WONDER WOMAN by night to fight crime and villains.

Yesterday, HOLLYWOOD SPY informed you that the reboot of DAREDEVIL is being planned in Hollywood, and now we already have the first candidates for the role of the blind super hero. But if you ask me it seems the new Daredevil could get an ever worse lead actor than Ben Afleck in the original film since currently the main candidate is Robert Pattinson. He already worked with DAREDEVIL's director David Slade on TWILIGHT. But he's not the only one in the list - Bradley Cooper and TRON LEGACY's Garrett Hedlund are also being mentioned as actors who are interested in taking the role.

A new comic book film adaptation is ready in Tinseltown. D.J.Caruso (I AM NUMBER FOUR) will direct PREACHER, in which the story revolves around a possessed Texas preacher who

teams up with a vampire on a quest to find God and hold him accountable for his negligence. "Playlist" has published the first rumors on who could take the lead roles in the film: apparently Chris Pine, Alex Pettyfer and Shia La Beouf are all interested in playing the three main characters in the film - Jesse,  the Saint Of Killers and Arseface .  They would certainly make quite a cool cast!

In this hilarious epic adventure Danny McBride and James Franco team up as two brothers and princes on a daring mission to save the heir's fiancée (Zooey Deschanel) before their kingdom is destroyed by an evil wizard (Justin Theroux). On their quest they have a little help from an amazon female warrior (Natalie Portman). As you remember the trailer for the film was super hilarious.

Young Thomas Dekker will play her love interest, and also a member of that coven.

 It seems this time your opinions about contestants in YOUR FAVOURITE FOREIGNER IN HOLLYWOOD poll were quite different. Three stars fought for the title, and Vincent Cassel came out as the winner with 22% of your votes, leaving Viggo Mortensen and Alexander Skarsgard in the second place with 20% of your votes.

French superstar Vincent Cassel has been present in Hollywood for quite some time now. Although he has magnetic looks just like his wife Monica Bellucci, unlike her he also has a refined acting talent and dramatic skills. When it comes to English language roles, he first caught our attention alongside Cate Blanchett in ELIZABETH, and then in OCEAN'S TWELVE, DERAILED and BLACK SWAN, but his true talent really shines in cult European films IRREVERSIBLE, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF, DOBERMANN and THE CRIMSON RIVERS. In the future we shall watch him in A DANGEROUS METHOD in which Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender play Freud and Jung.

Viggo Mortensen's mix of Danish and American blood gives him his trade mark penetrating charisma. Although he was born in NY, he grew up in Venezuela, Argentina and Denmark. He is known for having memorable presence and performances in most of his films, even when those movies aren't so good. Although he became worldwide famous as Aragorn in LORD OF THE RINGS (the role he almost lost to Stuart Townsend) we also loved him in THE PORTRAIT OF A LADY, HIDALGO, THE ROAD. Beside playing Freud in the above mentioned film, he will also be the Huntsman in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN beside Charlize Theron and might play general Zod in SUPERMAN. He was proclaimed a knight by Danish queen last year.

It seems those Scandinavian men really are born gorgeous, dashing and charismatic, since Alexander Skarsgard comes from Sweden. He came to NY to study acting and became one of the most popular blond actors in Hollywood. Although he is mostly known for his vampire role in hit TV show TRUE BLOOD, we will be watching him in films too, since he is starring in 2012 sf film BATTLESHIP alongside Taylor Kitsch and Liam Neeson and in Lars Von Trier's sf film MELANCHOLIA alongside Kirsten Dunst, Kiefer Sutherland and his father Stellan Skarsgard. He is also a sergeant in Swedish navy!
